Sportomics analysis of a high-intensity functional training method, the CrossFit

Abstract: To identify the acute hematological and biochemical changes induced by a Crossfit™ class, ten men were divided into CF group (N = 5) and control group (N = 5). Blood and urine were collected: pre-exercise (T1), after exercise (T2), and 12 post-exercise (T3). Blood cells, urea, cortisol, lactate, creatine Kinase (CK), and microalbuminuria (MAU) had measured. There was a record of handgrip strength (HGS), heart rate (HR), and systolic blood pressure (SBP), with the calculation of the double product (DP). MAU sho… Show more

“…Sportomicss studies aim to reproduce the natural conditions of different sports, training methods, and forms of exercise to seek an observation between the immunometabolic relationships of the method in question (Gonçalves et al, 2012;Gonçalves et al, 2022). These provide, in addition to reference values for the technical commission of the sport, also parameters for health professionals who work for public health and the well-being of practitioners (Gonçalves et al, 2020).…”

“…The sportomic method aims to generate real competition situations during an ex-periment, with the objective of understanding the metabolic and immunological alter-ations, and stress in different organs and systems, as well as selecting the most sensitive biomarkers for each sex, age, training lev-el, type of stress, environmental conditions, and types of exposure (Gonçalves et al, 2012;Mag-no-França et al, 2013;Coelho et al, 2016;Gonçalves et al, 2020;Bachini et al, 2021;Gonçalves et al, 2022).…”
