There has been considerable academic attention on the systems and structures relating to the education and development of coaches in Western nations. Despite China's competitive sports success, particularly at the Olympic Games, little is known about the structures of coaching systems and coach development in China. To foster a comparative understanding of sports coaching development from different contexts and to inform and enrich investigative agendas in the area, this paper focuses on China and introduces its sports coaching systems and structures with an analysis built upon government policy and relevant Chinese literature. Specifically, the paper delineates the two systems (elite and school), traces the changes of different versions of the skill grading system of Chinese sports coaches, outlines opportunities available for continued education; and highlights some of the current issues and challenges which hinder the development of Chinese sports coaches. Accordingly, suggestions for future policy and practice improvement are put forward in support of China's mission to become a world sports power.

Endurance plays an active role in basketball games as a support for implementing strategy and tactics, so players must have excellent endurance. The study aims to determine the impact of interval training on high school basketball players' endurance. The research applied the experimental method. The samples are ten participants of the As-Shofa basketball team determined through a total sampling technique. The research uses the one-group pretest-posttest design. The instrument in this study is a bleep test. Based on the test analysis, the tcount value obtained was 2,371, and the ttable value obtained was 1,833. These values indicate that the tcount value is greater than the ttable at a 0,05 sig. value. The results of this study can conclude a significant influence of interval training exercises on high school basketball players' endurance. The determinant value of endurance is 67% contribution. Thus, high-intensity interval training significantly increases the Vo2max endurance capacity.

O objetivo foi analisar a influência dos contextos sociais de treinadoras de Ginástica Rítmica, considerando as aprendizagens adquiridas ao longo da vida. Participaram do estudo cinco treinadoras. Os dados foram coletados a partir de uma entrevista semiestruturada. Este estudo baseia-se no pressuposto de que os contextos sociais são espaços e tempos de aprendizagem que se relacionam com as escolhas e experiências profissionais das treinadoras. Considera-se que a influência da família é significativa para a inserção e a manutenção no esporte, além do destaque no ambiente escolar e esportivo como contextos de relevância para a escolha profissional. Conclui-se que os contextos de aprendizagem tornam-se oportunidades de aquisição de conhecimentos, valores e crenças que influenciam a trajetória pessoal e profissional das treinadoras.
