Stability analysis of fractional order neutral‐type systems considering time varying delays, nonlinear perturbations, and input saturation

Abstract: This article investigates the robust stability of fractional order neutral-type systems involving nonlinear perturbations and time varying delays in the presence of input saturation. Design criteria, expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities, are derived with the aid of the Lyapunov Krasovskii functional for the state feedback controller. Based on the cone complementarity linearization method, an optimization problem is also formulated for finding the controller gains subject to maximizing the domain of… Show more

“…Different from the existing works, the major contributions of the article can be summarized as follows. (1) Note that similar issue is tackled in previous studies, 24,25,28,[31][32][33][34] which only considers a state observer or a disturbance observer, two observers are designed at the same time in this article. (2) The proposed event-triggered neural controller cannot only make sure that tracking error and observation error surround the origin, but also reduce computational burden and improve resource utilization rate.…”

“…In previous studies, 35,36 some criteria for observer‐based control design of linear FO systems have been derived in the form of LMI. Nevertheless, we can find few works in the literature on the stability and stabilization of fractional‐order neutral‐type (FONT) systems with saturating actuator 37‐39 . In these works, the stability analysis of different types of such systems with control input saturation has been studied.…”

“…What is its importance to the academic community? When the first ideas about fractional calculus were discussed, there was no dimension of the importance and relevance that their theory and applications in physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, medicine, among other areas of knowledge, [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8], and recently, fractional derivatives have been used to generalize and refine models that describe the epidemic disease of coronavirus [9,10]. Nowadays we have countless definitions of derivatives and fractional integrals [11][12][13][14][15][16].…”
