“…Figure 1b shows the UV-vis and the PL of the pristine and Cys-processed CQDs. The absorption and emission peaks of pristine CQDs are located at 680 and 685 nm, which are identified as belonging to CQDs [17,33]. After Cys post-processing, the PL of the CQDs shows a slight redshift to 686-688 nm with different concentrations of Cys, which are marked in Figure 1d.…”

“…Although long-chain organic ligands such as oleic acid (OA) and oleyamine (OAm) are usually used to surface treat and stabilize the CQDs, they are easily detached from the surface of CQDs during the purification process because of the poor binding force between the ligands and the surface ions [14,15]. The ligand loss increases the surface defects of the perovskites, which not only induces detrimental non-radiative recombination paths but also accelerates the phase transition, seriously limiting its application and development [16,17].…”

“…Nowadays, the research dealing with perovskites is vigorously growing due to their distinguished optical performance, adjustable emission, and simple processing, which is promoting their practical applications in solar cells, [47] sensors, [48] HD display, [49] information encryption, [50] among others. However, their intrinsic quality of ionic crystals makes them extremely unstable and easy to decompose especially in wet environment.…”

“…[6][7][8][9] In the past decade, intensive effects have been made to protect perovskites, such as surface barrier layer and encapsulation, which isolate perovskites from the outside environments. [10][11] For instance, Hou et al [12] have recently proposed a liquid-phase sintering procedure to stabilize CsPbX 3 (X = Cl, Br, or I) within a zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) glass, and achieved bright photo-luminance emission and over 10 000 h stability soaking in water. Furthermore, similar protecting strategies, by using silicon oxide, [13] metal-organic framework [14] and zeolite, [15] have also been successfully applied in stabilizing perovskites.…”
