“…This occurrence is somewhat older than the previously reported occurrence from the upper Atdabanian Fansycyathus lermontovae Zone of Lena River . It is correlated chemostratigraphically (Dillard et al 2007; online Appendices 1 & 2 at http://journals.cambridge.org/geo) with the regional first occurrence of Microdictyon sp. and Microdictyon cf.…”

“…In the Northwest Territories of Canada the first appearances are reported from the Ingta Formation of the Wernecke Mountains, correlated with the basal Cambrian Anabarites-Protohertzina Zone (Pyle et al 2006) and underlain by the Precambrian-Cambrian boundary negative excursion (Narbonne, Kaufman & Knoll, 1994;Pyle et al 2004), and from the Sekwi Formation of the Mackenzie Mountains and basal Rosella Formation of the Cassiar Mountains, correlated with the Fallotaspis and Nevadella zones (Voronova et al 1987;Dillard et al 2007). In Greenland, important first occurrences are reported from the lower Buen Formation, biostratigraphically correlated with the Nevadella Zone and upper Atdabanian Stage (Conway Morris et al 1987;Conway Morris, 1989;Debrenne & Reitner, 2001;Conway Morris & Peel, 2008, and from the upper Bastion-Ella Island formations, correlated with the Bonnia-Olenellus Zone and Botoman Stage (Skovsted, 2003(Skovsted, , 2004(Skovsted, , 2006.…”

“…The negative shift has been documented widely in sections in China, such as Wangcun section in Northwest Hunan Province [50], Bagongshan section in Anhui Province [48,50], Balang, Jianshan [48,51,52] and Changyangou-Yankong [53] sections in Guizhou Province (Figure 3), peaking from 2.38‰ to 6.9‰. It is also recorded in the coeval strata in southern Sweden [54], Canadian Rockies [55], Northwest Territories in Canada [56], the Great Basin in America [55] (Figure 4), and East Siberian Platform [57], peaking from 7.9‰ to 4‰.…”

“…For example, attempts have been (and continue to be) made to correlate the late Dyeran "Hawke Bay Regression" around Laurentia and further afield (e.g., Palmer and James, 1979;Palmer, 1981;Landing et al, 2002Landing et al, , 2006Bordonaro, 2003;Landing, 2012;Geyer and Vincent, 2015;Webster and Landing, 2016). Sequence stratigraphic interpretations and sometimes sea level curves are being developed for Montezuman and lower Dyeran strata of both the Iapetan (Whisonant, 1974;Mack, 1980;James et al, 1989;Barnaby and Read, 1990;Lavoie et al, 2003;Landing, 2007Landing, , 2012Tull et al, 2010;see above) and Cordilleran margins (Hollingsworth 2005(Hollingsworth , 2007(Hollingsworth , 2011Dilliard et al, 2007Dilliard et al, , 2010English and Babcock, 2010;Webster and Bohach, 2014). Discovery of Buenellus chilhoweensis n. sp.…”
