“…Spontaneous resolution was observed in one system 80. The same Mo 5 ring can be capped with phosphonate groups81,82 or by sulfate 83. Yamase prepared the adenosine‐5′‐monophosphate capped structure (Figure 6).…”

“…One attractive approach exploits molecular building blocks in the form of chemically robust polyoxoanions [4,5] embedded within coordination complex cationic polymers or linked through direct condensation, organic tethers or secondary metal-ligand coordination complexes acting as organic-inorganic bridging subunits [6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13]. In this respect, we have recently demonstrated that the ''venerable'' molybdophosphonate clusters [14] of the type [Mo 5 O 15 (O 3 PR) 2 ] 4À are linked into one-, two-or three-dimensional organic-inorganic oxides through tethering of the organophosphonate components by appropriate organic spacers [15][16][17]. In an attempt to extend this chemistry to the oxotungstate/phosphate and phosphonate families [18], the hydrothermal reactions of tungsten oxides with phosphonic acid and various organophosphonates in the presence of Cu(II)-polyimine ligands are under investigation.…”

“…The larger splitting (Dm = 43 cm À1 ) of the m(PAO) band than that for the TBA salt (Dm = 34 cm À1 ) is ascribable to the attachment of an aqua-ligand to Cu(II) in 1 [20]. The spectrum of 2 includes peaks in the 400-1200 cm À1 region that are characteristic of the Strandberg-type pentamolybdodiphospate [(PO 4 ) 2 Mo 5 O 15 ] 6À [23]. The bands centered at 1632 and 1574-1578 cm À1 were commonly observed for 1 and 2.…”
