The article defines the role of organic agricultural production in the system of the agrarian complex. The impact of agriculture on ecology is characterized. It was determined that the greening of agriculture becomes a priority point in the system of modernization of environmental security. The authors present that the latest technologies make it possible to effectively cultivate agricultural land, and the main place among the innovations of agricultural production is occupied by agricultural works, which are provided by automated systems and unmanned equipment. The article highlights environmental problems arising as a result of human economic activity to ensure one’s own food security and presents alternative methods of farming. The crucial role of organic production is defined and the main methods of organic agriculture are presented. The authors researched the dynamics of the area of agricultural land used for organic production and operators of organic production. The main environmental criteria of organic agricultural production, projects and programs that provide assistance in the field of organic production, circulation and labeling of organic products are presented.

The state of development of the organic market in Ukraine is analyzed. Shown that organic agriculture is currently positioned in the country as one of the key direction to increase the level of environmental friendliness, economic feasibility in agriculture and is a progressive way to improve the balance between environmental and economic factors of society. The dynamics of changes in the number of organic farms and the area of their agricultural lands is considered. The analysis of the development of the Ukrainian domestic market of consumption of organic products is carried out, and also the dynamics of import of certified organic products from Ukraine to the EU is investigated. Relevance of the issue of logistics by road and rail is proved. The state and main problems of the transport infrastructure of Ukraine are considered. Emphasized that to improve the logistics needs strong institutions, effective coordination of state and government support at the highest level. The development of strategic directions for the improvement of the logistics and transport system is proposed in order to strengthen the competitive position of Ukrainian agricultural producers in the world market of organic products and intensify the integration of the state into the international economic space.

The article is devoted to the consideration of the problems of managing the promotion of organic products in the domestic and foreign markets. On the market of European countries, a high and stable demand for organic, ecologically safe food products has formed, while the formation of the domestic market for organic products is somewhat inhibited due to several reasons the low purchasing power of the population and the insufficient level of awareness of domestic consumers about the benefits of products produced by organic technology. At the same time, the structure of organic products presented on the domestic and foreign markets differs significantly: domestic consumers can purchase processed products and finished products, while mainly raw materials produced using organic technology are exported. These factors should be considered in the process of managing the promotion of organic products to form an appropriate marketing and logistics toolkit capable of ensuring the greatest efficiency of producers and traders. Creating a logo that would allow the consumer to identify a specific product from among a few others is important for the formation of a sustainable demand for an organic product. The implementation of a successful marketing policy in the process of promoting such an ecological product should be based on detailed information from the production unit regarding its quality parameters. Features of the implementation of logistics functions in the process of promotion of ecologically safe products are due to the features of organic production and the need to deliver products of appropriate quality to consumers. The domestic market is currently dominated by direct sales. The effective export activity requires the formation of acceptable batches, which often prompts direct domestic producers to transfer sales functions to third-party organizations or traders who can consolidate commodity batches from small producers. Specialized logistics companies also usually have more experience and the infrastructure needed to transport organic products smoothly. The cooperation of domestic producers of organic products can become a tool capable of ensuring effective marketing activities of direct producers without the involvement of third-party organizations.
