Abstract:Alberto López Bargados (University of Barcelona -GRECS) is Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Barcelona (UB) and a member of the Grup de Recerca sobre Exclusió i Control Socials (GRECS). He has published on topics such as Saharan 'tribal' systems and their adaptations through colonial processes, as well as Islamic practices in the contexts of diaspora.
