Static and Dynamic Analysis of the Closing Rotor Balancing Device of the Multistage Centrifugal Pump

Abstract: In this paper the methods of static and dynamic analysis of the closing rotor balancing device of the multistage centrifugal pump are represented. On an example of the feed pump PE 600-300 static and dynamic characteristics are determined. Defined the resonance frequencies and investigated stability of the system “pump rotor – automatic balancing device – pressure difference regulator”. The dependence for the pressure difference and conditions to ensure reliable operation of the locking rotor balancing device … Show more

“…It should be additionally noted that the proposed approach has significant prospects for further development under the conditions of its comprehensive implementation with the systems of computational intelligence, particularly to identify the parameters of the above-mentioned mathematical models and the related regression dependencies with the use of artificial neural networks, as was previously realized within the research works [31][32][33][34]. Moreover, in further research, special attention should be paid to demonstrate benefits of the proposed designs of the air distribution device in terms of the air diffusion performance index, using the approach presented in the research [35].…”

“…Application of the numerical simulation for static and dynamic analysis of the automatic axial-balancing device of the rotor for multistage centrifugal pumps, and new design of balancing disc are presented in papers [7]. General approach for dynamic analysis of the rotor supported on ball bearings using two-and three-dimensional finite element models is presented in work [8].…”
