“…Although the above results provided some understandings about the effect of SMF on cancer cells, most studies claimed that SMF as monotherapy is not sufficiently successful, but prefers the combinational effects with chemotherapy drugs [ 10 , 12 ]. For example, the efficacy of conventional chemotherapy drugs such as Taxol [ 13 , 14 ], Cisplatin [ 15 ], and Doxorubicin [ 12 ] were enhanced by moderate SMF with different intensities.
