Striatal dopamine output is compromised within +/− BDNF mice

Abstract: We reported previously that mice lacking one brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) allele demonstrate elevated striatal dopamine (DA) concentrations but impaired behavioral responses involving the nigrostriatal dopaminergic (NSDA) system.
