The article is devoted to the study of the specificity of the verbal thinking activity of a linguistic personality, the significance of which becomes especially important under the conditions of global digitalization. Based on the works of Russian and foreign scholars, the authors build a methodology of verbal thinking activity, touching upon both theoretical and practical issues, considering language in one case from the position of a reflex and in another case from the position of reflexion, and come to the following conclusion. On the one hand, language is immanent to a self-organizing natural device functioning under the sign of an individual information system. On the other hand, language appears as an activity (verbal thinking activity) of a linguist to organize an individual information system into a conceptual system. If an individual information system is initially given, then a conceptual system is always created by each concrete person, being a unity of the given and created. Referring to the text of Holy Scripture and referring to the visual poetry of I. Rukavishnikov, the authors demonstrate how the process of verbal thinking activity of a linguistic personality is formed as a transition from the individual information system of language to language as an integral part of the conceptual system. Among the basic methods contributing to the actualization of verbal thinking activity, the authors name methods of decoding and coding of verbal and non-verbal elements of the individual information system.

Єнікєєв Д.С., orcid.org/0000-0003-4008-4045 аспірант кафедри теорії та практики перекладу з англійської мови Запорізького національного університету Статтю присвячено виокремленню та характеристиці одиниць прагматичного рівня у структурі мовної особистості для аналізу лінгвопрагматичних її особливостей. Проводиться аналіз та систематизація теоретичних положень, які стосуються мовленнєвої та комунікативної діяльності індивіда у межах дискурсу. Зокрема, наводяться дефініції поняття «мовна особистість», погляди лінгвістів на структуру мовної особистості. Для визначення релевантності запропонованих мовленнєвих та комунікативних одиниць і теорії мовної особистості надано їхні дефініції. Обґрунтовано можливість та доцільність виокремлення цих одиниць для характеристики лінгвопрагматичних параметрів мовної особистості. З огляду на традиційне визначення діяльнісно-комунікативних потреб як основних одиниць прагматичного рівня структури мовної особистості запропоновано включення до цього рівня комплексу понять, які використовуються для опису комунікативної діяльності. Комунікативна роль, комунікативний статус мовця, комунікативна ситуація, конситуація та контекст є тими екстралінгвістичними факторами, які впливають на мовленнєву та комунікативну поведінку індивіда. Комунікативна мета та комунікативна інтенція є перехідними одиницями між екстралінгвістичним та лінгвістичним аспектом дослідження. Вони зумовлюють формулювання мовцем комунікативних стратегій та їхню реалізацію за допомогою комунікативних тактик, опис яких є етапом переходу від мовленнєво-комунікативного рівня до мовного, тобто до виокремлення, опису та характеристики лексичних, граматичних та стилістичних засобів актуалізації комунікативних тактик безпосередньо у мовленнєвих та комунікативних актах. Усі виділені одиниці можна систематизувати, об'єднавши їх у три групи за аспектом, який кожна з них дозволяє дослідити. Це екстралінгвістичні, мовленнєво-комунікативні та мовні одиниці. Опис кожної з виокремлених одиниць дає змогу більш глибокого аналізу мовної особистості індивіда саме на прагматичному рівні її структури, але при цьому все одно два інших рівні також враховуються, адже вони взаємопов'язані, а їхнє розмежування допомагає систематизувати особливості мовної особистості та дослідити її комплексно, враховуючи різні аспекти цього феномену.Ключові слова: мовна особистість, структура мовної особистості, прагматичний рівень, комунікативна роль, комунікативний статус, комунікативна інтенція, комунікативна стратегія, комунікативна тактика, мовленнєвий акт, комунікативний акт, комунікативна ситуація, контекст, пресупозиція, комунікативна мета.

The study is devoted to the study of the role of paradoxes in the novels written by I. Ilf and Eu. Petrov «The Little Golden Calf» and «The Twelve Chairs». In this aspect, the novels that have become world classics have not yet been the subject of detailed scientific study; an attempt to fill this gap determines the relevance of this article. The concepts of «antinomy», «dichotomy», and «intentionality» are considered. The study of the elements of paradoxes, their step-by-step tracing allows to reveal hidden meanings, the vertical context provides a better understanding of the linguistic personality of the characters and the author’s message. The paradoxical nature of evaluative characteristics can manifest itself not only in a horizontal context, but also in a vertical, diachronic one. The contexts containing the paradox extracted from the texts of the indicated novels were selected as the material of the study. The article concludes that in the language of literary works the paradox is used expressly, intentionally, it reflects the linguo-creative thinking of the authors, used as a stylistic device to create the image of a character, as an individualization of his speech, and also performs numerous other functions. It was revealed that the paradoxes used for the image of the main character, O. Bender, who is a strong linguistic personality, represent one set of qualities, and for Panikovsky - another. The paradoxical statements coming from Bender and the speech of other characters in the novels by I. Ilf and Eu. Petrov are psychological, they become persuasive arguments for situation awareness, a means of calming, creating the appearance of a lack of violence against the victim to cover up their own plans.
