Structural and anti-oxidant properties of guanidinium pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylates

Abstract: Multicomponent crystals (either salts or co-crystals) of pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic acid (H3pzdc) with the nitrogen-containing organic bases guanidine (Gun), aminoguanidine (Agun), diaminoguanidine (Dagun) and triaminoguanidine (Tagun) have been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, TG-DTA, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.

“…It is worth noting that the moderate antioxidative property of SDH-based macromers is attributed to the residual hydrazide groups ( Figure S7) which has been reported previously. [31][32][33] In order to determine the concentration required to obtain a 50% antioxidative effect (EC50) of the DTP-based macromers, two fitted inhibition curves were obtained based on the inhibition data which gave a 7.24 mg/mL of EC50 for 575-DTP and 11.11 mg/mL of EC50 for 700-DTP, respectively ( Figure 3C-D).…”

“…33,34 The broad bands at around 3000–3500 cm −1 in 1–5 can be assigned to the –OH and –NH stretching vibration. 35,36 The strong peak at 1050 cm −1 in 7 can be ascribed to the vibrations of BF 4 − anions (Fig. S2†).…”

“…S2 †) reveals a broad peak in the 3000-3500 cm À1 region, which is attributed to the stretching vibrations of the N-H and O-H groups from dpyam and water molecules, respectively. [39][40][41] The medium peak at about 1640 cm À1 is attributed to the stretching vibration of the pyridine ring. 42,43 The peaks at approximately 1600-1400 cm À1 are ascribed to the asymmetric and symmetric stretching vibrations of the carboxylate group for the pzdc ligand.…”
