“…In Lingzhi (G. sinense), which is enriched in polysaccharides, glucosamine (amino sugar), and water-soluble proteins, GS and 3DG were detected as the quantitatively most important along with small amounts of GO, MG, DA, 3,4DGE, HP, 4GlcN-3DG, and 3DM, supporting previous findings on glucosamine browning . A trace amount of 2,3PD and PhGO were also found in individual samples, probably from the fermentation process during the product manufacture.…”

“…Compared to the maltose-specific α-DCs, yields of GS, 1DG, and 3DG specific for glucose degradation were at much lower levels, whereas that of 3,4DGE was found to be relatively high, most likely due to the direct conversion of 3,4DGE from 3DM via glucose elimination. 18 In Lingzhi (G. sinense), which is enriched in polysaccharides, glucosamine (amino sugar), and water-soluble proteins, 45 GS and 3DG were detected as the quantitatively most important along with small amounts of GO, MG, DA, 3,4DGE, HP, 4GlcN-3DG, and 3DM, supporting previous findings on glucosamine browning. 33 A trace amount of 2,3PD and PhGO were also found in individual samples, probably from the fermentation process 31 during the product manufacture.…”

“…Determine the absorbance value of the solution at 510 nm and record it as A for three parallel experiments. When we calculate the hydroxyl radical scavenging rate, we can use half inhibition concentration (IC 50 ) to express the hydroxyl radical scavenging capacity 9–11 Hydroxyl radical clearance rate/%goodbreak=][1goodbreak−)(Agoodbreak−A1/A0goodbreak×100% A 0 is the absorbance of the reaction system of solvent and hydroxyl radical; A 1 is the absorbance of the reaction system of sample and hydroxyl radical with purified water replacing 0.3% H 2 O 2 ; A is the absorbance of the reaction system between the sample and hydroxyl radical.…”

“…In 2020, a novel polysaccharide (GSPB70-S) containing N -acetylglucosamine units with a nona-decasaccharide repeating unit was isolated from a medicinal fungus Ganoderma sinense (Scheme A), which has been a famous traditional Chinese medicine named “Lingzhi” in China for over 2000 years. Biological studies demonstrated that polysaccharides as major ingredients of G. sinense had a variety of pharmaceutical activities, including antitumor, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, immune regulation, antioxidation, radiation protection, antifatigue, antidiabetic, and mushroom poison detoxification activities.…”
