“…for Eu 3+ showing lifetimes > 1 ms and significant quantum yields in the solid state > 50 % ( 2‐Eu : 1410(1) µs, 55.2(7) %), while for Tb 3+ , lifetimes and quantum yields in combination with sensitizers of equal energy range as ptpy are typically lower than for Eu 3+[10,11,28] ( 2‐Tb : 349(3) µs, 12.8(3) %). For 2‐Sm , the luminescence lifetime is shorter (33.82(3) µs, QY <1 %) and well in the range of other complexes of Sm 3+ . Quantum yields of the Dy 3+ , Pr 3+ , Ho 3+ , and Tm 3+ products obtained could not be determined reliably due to low intensity of emission in the visible, and of Nd 3+ and Yb 3+ products due to emission in the NIR.…”

“…The quantum yield is high, being 61.1(1.4) % (λ ex = 360 nm, λ em = 570–820 nm), determined at room temperature for excitation through the ligand system, as shown for terpyridine‐based ligands. [ 5–8,13 ] The emission lifetime is mainly based on the transitions of Eu 3+ in 1 being 1.493(1) ms (λ ex = 360 nm, λ em = 624 nm), and is typical for trivalent europium [ 34–37 ] and coordination compounds with terpyridine and its derivatives. [ 5,6,8,13,15,38 ] Upon cooling to 77 K the emission lifetime of 1 rises to 1.649(1) ms, as the thermal quenching of the luminescence decreases.…”

“…In this study, rhodamine B in ethanol is used as the standard reference [24,25]. The quantum yield of the synthesized MOF is high (16 ± 0.5%) compared to other samarium-organic complexes [26,27]. Also the quantum yield value is decreased to 5.99 ± 0.5% in the dehydrated sample.…”
