Structure Changes during the Reversion of Guinier-Preston Zones in AlZn Alloys

Abstract

Structure changes are investigated proceeding in AlZn alloys with xZn = 10 and 12 at% during the reversion of Guinier‐Preston (GP) zones, grown at RT to various sizes, at reversion temperatures (Trev) situated to both sides of the upper limit temperature of the existence field of GP zones (T GPZdiss). Together with literature data, it could be proved that these structure changes remarkably depend on the mean size of the GP zones.
