“…From AFM measurements we know that the typical size of the atomically flat MgO substrate terraces is about 1 µm which should yield ξ x (S) values ≥1 µm. Additionally, Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) studies of single Fe films grown on MgO [26,27] suggest ξ x values of the order of 100 Å and h values around 0.6. The other parameter, ξ z , does not have such a pronounced influence on the q x dependence of the diffuse intensity.…”
