“…Outcomes: A small RCT comparing wait-list controls and SITCAP-ART found that intervention youth showed significant improvements in avoidance and anxious/depressed, withdrawn/depressed, and somatic complaints (CEBC, 2013; see also Raider, Steele, Delillo-Storey, Jacobs, & Kuban, 2008 Outcomes: Tested with racially and ethnically diverse populations. “…Furthermore, none of the participants experienced a "repeat lock up" following the program. A field test prior to the controlled study with 85 adolescents found that every participant reported a decrease in trauma symptoms and 85 percent had no "criminal" court contact at the one-year follow-up (Raider et al, 2008).…”

“…SITCAP-ART has been evaluated in one sample of adjudicated youth. The program consisted of 10-11 sessions depending on the progress participants made in each session, and included seven group sessions, two individual debriefing sessions, and one parent/adolescent session (Raider et al, 2008). A comparison of SITCAP-ART participants to a randomized waitlist-control group found that participants experienced significant reductions in trauma symptoms, depression, rule-breaking behaviors, aggressive behaviors, and mental health problems as measured by the Youth Self Report (Raider et al, 2008)…”
