The economic benefits of hand line production activities carried out by small fishermen utilizing some inputs to produce high economic value output each season in the Kei Kecil small island park (TPK) conservation area differ according to the driving power. Production cost efficiency, effectiveness of production results, and business profits are very important for the sustainability and development of small-scale hand-line fisheries. This study aims to analyze the economics of small-scale hand line production based on the driving power in each season in the TPK Kei conservation area. The type of data needed is primary and secondary data, and the collection method used is triangulation. The analysis used includes analysis of business profits, production cost efficiency, and effectiveness of production results. The results of the analysis show that the production of hand line carried out in the TPK Kei Kecil conservation area in each season is more efficient and effective in the hand line fishing fleet that uses hand line rowing and the highest business profit is the hand line fishing fleet that uses ketinting driving power. The production of small-scale hand lines in the TPK Kei conservation area is small in each season efficiently, effectively, and profitably.

Sungai Cikaso merupakan salah satu sungai di pesisir selatan Sukabumi dengan tingkat kelimpahan ikan Sidat yang cukup tinggi, sehingga sangat potensial sebagai lokasi penangkapan ikan tersebut. Berbagai jenis alat tangkap ikan Sidat dioperasikan oleh nelayan di sungai ini. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis alat tangkap yang digunakan nelayan untuk menangkap ikan Sidat di Sungai Cikaso, Kabupaten Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Identifikasi ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat bagi kelestarian ikan Sidat dan kebijakan perikanan di daerah ini. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei pada bulan Maret-Agustus 2019 di tujuh stasiun penelitian di sepanjang Sungai Cikaso yang meliputi bagian sungai yang dilalui oleh ikan Sidat dari berbagai stadia. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan langsung di lokasi penelitian untuk mengetahui sebaran alat-alat tangkap, desain dan konstruksi alat, daerah penangkapan, metode pengoperasian, serta hasil tangkapan. Selain itu, wawancara dengan nelayan melalui kuesioner dilakukan untuk menilai tingkat keramahan lingkungan alat tangkap yang digunakan. Informasi yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini yaitu hasil tangkapan ikan Sidat oleh nelayan di Sungai Cikaso terdiri dari stadia glass eel, elver, yellow eel, dan silver eel, yang tersebar di sepanjang aliran sungai. Spesies ikan Sidat dewasa yang ditemukan selama penelitian yaitu Anguilla bicolor bicolor dan Anguilla marmorata. Alat-alat tangkap yang digunakan oleh nelayan di Sungai Cikaso untuk menangkap ikan Sidat terdiri dari sirib, sodok, bubu, kopyokan, jamparing, dan pancing. Melihat kondisi eksploitasi terhadap sumber daya ikan Sidat di pesisir selatan Sukabumi ini, kebijakan guna mendukung pengelolaan ikan Sidat telah banyak diterbitkan. Dengan aturan-aturan tersebut dan sinergi dari berbagai pihak, kelestarian ikan Sidat di alam diharapkan dapat menjadi penopang kehidupan nelayan pesisir.

Bintan Island is designated as a marine protected area through the Decree of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia Number 18 of 2022 called Taman Wisata Perairan Timur Pulau Bintan (TWP-TB) which consists of three areas: Teluk Sebong, Gunung Kijang, Bintan Pesisir. Mapur Village is one of the villages in Bintan Pesisir Regency, which includes the area. The research aimed the impact of the establishment of marine protected area on the fishing grounds and catches of Mapur Village fishermen. The research was conducted in July 2024 in Mapur Village, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands Province. The descriptive and quantitative research method used questionnaires and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Marine protected area has no impact on fishing catches. Most fishermen catch pelagic fish, and most fishing gear is handline. Fishermen do not change their fishing grounds even though there is a marine protected area because in general the fishing grounds are 1-17 miles from Mapur Village. Fishermen who make changes to the fishing area are the majority of fishermen who do not use fish aggregating devices (FADs).
