Present review article describes phytochemicals, disease prevention, and biological effects of Tinospora cordifolia commonly known as Giloy or Giloe" or "Guduchi." This plant is indigenous to tropical regions of the Indian subcontinent and widely used in Ayurvedic medicines since time immemorial. This article emphasized important biological activities such as anti-toxic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antioxidant, Antimicrobial, anti-stress, hypolipidaemic, hepatic disorder, anti-cancer, anti-HIV, anti-complementary, antitoxic effects, wound healing, anti-complementary, and immune stimulatory and immunomodulating activities. Plant is widely used by local people for treatment of fever, cough, cold, allergic rhinitis, and diabetes. Regular used of Giloy leaf juice cut down sugar, it induces generation of insulin that regulates blood sugar levels. Giloy juice is highly beneficial in liver disease, urinary tract infections, ulcer, kidney problems, and heart-related issues. Giloy juice acts as an appetizer, digestive, and help to remove cough and as immunity booster. It is also used to detoxify skin, improves digestion, and reduces digestion-related problems like diarrhea, colitis, vomiting, and hyperacidity. Giloy is unique plant and depository of hundreds of diverse bioactive constituents. These are used to prepare diverse rasayana' for therapeutic purposes mainly for saving the life of people. Due to life saving natural attributes, this plant is known as Amrita "that provides immortality" to people and immunity booster. Giloy plant hot concoction and extracts were proved boon for people as it has saved millions of lives during corona virus epidemics. Plant is used for the various human diseases and ailments related to liver, gastric, respiratory, urinary tract infections, ulcer, kidney and heart and skin.

The objective of this study was to evaluate the analgesic activity of n-hexane extract of Marsilea crenata Presl. The analgesic effect was examined by acetic-acid-induced writhing response. Before intraperitoneally injection of acetic acid 0.60%, drugs were orally administered to Balb/C mice. This animal divided into 5 groups, positive control (Ibuprofen 1.04 mg/20 g BW mice), negative control (10% tween 80), dose 1 (0.27 mg/20 g BW mice), dose 2 (0.54 mg/20 g BW mice), and dose 3 (0.81mg/20 g BW mice). The number of writhings exhibited by each animal was counted for thirty minute beginning five minute after acetic acid induction. Obtained data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA followed by LSD test with confident level was 0,05. Dose 1, dose 2, and dose 3 showed significant different to negative control (p<0.05). Dose 1 (0.27 mg/20 g BW mice) almost equal to positive control (p>0.05). This study indicate that n-hexane extract of Marsilea crenata has analgesic effect. The obtained results provide information for the potential use in the treatment of pain.

Objectives:The aim was to investigate the antipyretic, anti-infl ammatory and analgesic activity of ethanolic leaf extract of Moringa oleifera, commonly known as drumstick tree. Materials and Methods: The study is a randomized controlled experimental study. The experiments were carried out dividing the animals in six groups, each containing six animals. Ethanolic extract of Moringa M. oleifera (EMO was administered at 50, 100, 200, 400 mg/kg doses orally to the respective four groups. Control was normal saline (orally at 2 ml/kg body weight). Antipyretic activity was done in albino rats using the Brewer's yeast induced pyrexia model, standard used was paracetamol (100 mg/kg). Anti-infl ammatory action was screened using carrageenan induced paw edema model in albino rats. Analgesic actions was evaluated using acetic acid induced writhing test and Eddy's hot plate test for the peripheral and central analgesic actions respectively using albino mice. Results: The ethanolic leaf extract of M. oleifera showed signifi cant (P < 0.05) antipyretic and anti-infl ammatory activities at 100, 200, 400 mg/kg. The percentage inhibition of paw edema at 3 rd h was 64.77% for aspirin and EMO 400 mg/kg showed 56.81% comparing with the control. Signifi cant (P < 0.01) analgesic activity was exhibited by ethanolic leaf extract of M. oleifera at 100, 200, 400 mg/kg in both the acetic acid induced writhing test and the Eddy's hot plate test in comparison with control. Dose-dependent increase in the percentage inhibition of writhes was noted with EMO 100, 200, 400 mg/kg showing 26%, 51% and 81%, respectively. Conclusion: Thus, our study concludes that EMO leaves has antipyretic, anti-infl ammatory, and both central and peripheral analgesic actions.
