. Can. J. Chem. 65, 2305 (1987). Complexes of the general formula [HgX2(Me3MCH2SeMe)I2, where M = Si, Ge; X = C1, Br, I, have been prepared and characterized by 'H nuclear magnetic resonance and Raman spectroscopy. Crystal structures of [HgX2(Me3SiCH2SeMe)12, where X = C1, Br, and I (1, 2, and 3 respectively), show that they have centrosymmetric dinuclear structures. The crystals of 1 and 2 are monoclinic, while those of 3 are triclinic. For 1: P2'/c, a = 14.235(1 l), b = 6.551(6), c = 14.21 l(9) A, P = 117.33 (5) [Traduit par la revue]
