Studies on the Activities of Certain Enzymes of Carbohydrate and Amino Acid Metabolism in Normal, Chronic Cervicitis and Malignant Human Cervix Uteri

Abstract: Results reported here suggest that malignant human cervix uteri show a doubtful increase or no change in respiratory activity. The transamination of aspartate and deamidation of glutamine show, respectively, a decrease and an increase. No significant difference is observed in the formation of glutamate from 2-oxoglutarate. Respiration in chronic cervicitis tissue does not appear to be significantly changed.
