Study of Cell Tower Radiation and its Health Hazards on human body

Abstract: In this paper, we present the study of RF radiation from mobile tower and its health effects on human body. Power density of RF radiation from a mobile tower have been measured in close proximity to the mobile base station (GSM 900) at the selected locality in Aizawl, Mizoram, India, which was erected in 2009. Questionnaire was conducted on different health problems faced by the inhabitants living near the base station. The absolute power densities have been measured at different houses which is compared with … Show more

“…Furthermore, fuel-burning affects the human living environment. In many countries, the cell towers run on diesel, which leads to an increase in CO2 emission [2]. CO2 the emission has estimated around 10000000 tons every year [4].…”

“…Electromagnetic (EM) spectrum has consistently shown the health hazard from the radio frequency range (RFR), which leads to concern [2], DNA damage and so on [3]. Therefore, people who are living more closer to towers are overexposed to EM radiation [3], and females having more complaints than males [2]. So, the location of towers must be far away from human habitats to minimize the effects of EM and RFR.…”

“…So we are surrounded by electric, magnetic, fields from every were, but this work special doing on the cell tower radiation .Many of scholar are warned about the exposure to the radiation of those towers for long period and it was appointed as one of the causes of many diseases (Pachuau. “…• Singh & Kaur (2014) and Singh and Kapoor, 2014 studied the biological implications of EMF on various life forms and suggested proper scientific investigations to follow the precautionary principle and limit their exposure and to devise a strategy to prevent the health hazards due to EMFs. • Pachuau & Pachuau (2014) studied the health hazards of cell tower radiation measuring different health symptoms based on sex faced by the inhabitants within 50m and outside 50m and found more health complaints with the inhabitants living within 50m than those living outside 50m and more in females. • Research like Jouni et al (2012), had investigated the involvement of free radical processes in the genetic effects of EMF (ELF-EMF).…”
