Flavor changing neutral current decays of B meson mediated via b → s l l transition process, where l represents an electron, a muon, or a tau lepton, provide promising probes for physics beyond the standard model. In this context, we use the most general effective Hamiltonian for b → s l l process and study the branching ratio and various asymmetries of B − → p μ + μ − four body baryonic decays of B meson. We also see the effect of various new physics couplings in this decay mode. Within the standard model, the branching ratio of B − → p μ + μ − decay mode is found to be 1.08 × 10 −7 and hence can be tested in the forthcoming or future B factories.
