Based on the land use data of Xinxiang City from 2010 to 2020, this study integrates the methods of dynamic degreetransfer matrix, landscape pattern index and geographical detector to explore the quantitative structural changes, mutual transformations and landscape pattern characteristics of the “production-living- ecological space” (PLES) in Xinxiang City, and also analyzes the driving factors that affect the characteristic changes to reveal the laws governing the changes in the PLES and the current land use process. The results of this study reveal four important aspects of this system. (1) The changes in the PLES in Xinxiang City have accelerated significantly, and the overall performance shows that the production space continues to decrease, the living space keeps increasing, and the ecological space changes are more stable. (2) Regarding the spatial transfer characteristics, the ecological space has mainly transformed to production space, and the production space has mainly transformed to living space. (3) The landscape pattern characteristics show that the landscape types in Xinxiang City are diversified in terms of their components. (4) The spatial differentiation of the PLES is influenced by the combined effect of socio-economic and natural factors. Based on the empirical research results, we can not only propose corresponding optimization strategies for the better utilization of the PLES in Xinxiang City, but also provide important scientific references for the high-quality development of the prefecture-level cities in the Yellow River Basin.

Resource-based cities often face problems such as resource scarcity and insufficient electricity to achieve complex high-quality growth. At present, there is relatively little research on the impact on the high-quality development of such cities. To study the key variables that affect the high-quality growth of resource-based cities, we adopt entropy weighted TOPSIS technology, spatial correlation analysis, and spatial econometric models. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) The overall high-quality development of resource-based cities in China is on the rise year by year; The cities with the highest growth rates are those that are mature, rejuvenated, growing, and declining. (2) Resource-based cities have a positive geographical correlation in high-quality development, and different numbers of clusters are displayed by changing the Moran I index score. (3) High quality development is strongly influenced by human capital, urbanization, technological innovation, and global market openness. There are significant differences in the ways in which these variables affect various types of resource-based cities. Policy makers who strive to reduce regional inequality and encourage high-quality growth in resource-based communities may benefit greatly from the insights provided by this study.

The Yellow River beach area is the basic component of the Yellow River Basin. Promoting the comprehensive improvement and high-quality development of the Yellow River beach area is an important guarantee of the long-term stability of the Yellow River and an important part of promoting the high-quality development and ecological protection of the Yellow River Basin. In this paper, four new indexes (flood risk intensity index, accessibility index, biological abundance index, and remote sensing ecological index) were extracted from geospatial data and remote sensing images, and a quantitative evaluation model (Ecology-Economy -Society-Flood, EESF) for the development of the Yellow River beach area were constructed based on social statistics, such as flood control and control in the beach area. The coordinated development level of the Yellow River beach area was evaluated by combining the “CRITIC–entropy weight method” and “‘single index quantification–multi-index synthesis–multi-criteria integration’ (SMI-P)—coordination degree model” methods. The spatial autocorrelation model was used to analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of the coordinated development level, and the global sensitivity and uncertainty analysis (GSUA) was carried out for the sensitivity and uncertainty of the parameters. Taking the Yellow River beach area in Shandong Province in 2009 and 2019 as the study object, the research results showed that during this period, the coordinated development level of the Yellow River beach area in Shandong Province showed a gradual upward trend, from 0.344 to 0.580, reaching a basic coordinated state; the overall coordinated development level of the beach area showed significant autocorrelation and small spatial heterogeneity. Grain production was the most sensitive parameter in the coordinated development model of the beach area. The beach area should rationally develop and utilize agricultural resources and promote the integration of ecological industries.
