Study on coordination and quantification of ecological protection and high quality development in the Yellow River Basin

Abstract: In this paper, a quantitative index system for the coordinated promotion of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin is constructed, and the method of "single index quantification multi index synthesis multi criteria integration" is adopted to quantitatively evaluate the coordination degree of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. Using the data of the Yellow River Basin from 2009 to 2018 for example, the results show that the coordina… Show more

“…The PLES changes in the Yellow River Basin are comprehensive and complex, with strong regional development characteristics (Hua et al, 2021). The PLES functions are constrained by different dominant functions in the system in different periods but evolve in synergy, and the spatial bal-ance of the PLES is the key to rationalizing the spatial development order, and coordinating urban-rural relations and high-quality development of the county economy.…”

“…Regarding the evaluation of high-quality development, most scholars use evaluation methods such as the entropy weight method [11,[22][23][24] and TOPISI method [25,26] to construct evaluation index systems and calculate the level of high-quality development, and a few scholars use methods such as DEA model [27] and coupling coordination degree analysis [28][29][30] to evaluate the development of regions with high quality. In addition, some scholars have conducted comparative studies on the relationship and differences between high-quality development and sustainable development, believing that early high-quality development was more focused on economic quality compared to sustainable development [31].…”

“…(1) The fuzzy membership method was used to quantify the single index [41]. This method eliminates the influence of different dimensions and the positive and negative types between the indicators in the evaluation.…”
