The text is an attempt to answer the question whether the sense of humor in a teacher-therapist of a person with autism spectrum disorder is important due to the course of therapy due to specific difficulties experienced by autistic people, e.g. the difficulties in reading jokes or recognizing authority figures. The article shows that the sense of humor has many functions, is closely related to creativity and work atmosphere, and is an indispensable tool in the work of a teacher-therapist for an autistic person.
