Superradiance of two-component quasiresonant media

Abstract: Abstvact. processes H(1s) + H+ (or He2+)-tH(2p) + H+ (or He2+) are evaluated at H + energies between lOkev and 1002/10kev (or He2+ energies between 40 kev and 4002/10 kev). It is found that the effect of distortion is not as much as in the case of Using the distortion approximation the cross sections for the collision H(1s) + H+ (or He2+) -+ H(2s) + H + (or He2+).Optically allowed transitions are in general likely to be less influenced by distortion than are optically forbidden transitions.
