Abstvact. processes H(1s) + H+ (or He2+)-tH(2p) + H+ (or He2+) are evaluated at H + energies between lOkev and 1002/10kev (or He2+ energies between 40 kev and 4002/10 kev). It is found that the effect of distortion is not as much as in the case of Using the distortion approximation the cross sections for the collision H(1s) + H+ (or He2+) -+ H(2s) + H + (or He2+).Optically allowed transitions are in general likely to be less influenced by distortion than are optically forbidden transitions.

The conductive Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film based on ditetradecyldimethylammonium-Au(dmit) 2 salt was studied. The film quality at the air/water interface was greatly improved by changing the "waiting time (T w )", which is defined as the time between the application of the spreading solution and the onset of compression. The main factor for the morphological improvement is considered to be the oxidation of the Au(dmit) 2 moiety at the air/water interface. The resultant conductivity of the LB film was highest in the case of T w = 30 min.
