Support of Decision-Making Based on a Production Approach in the Performance of an Industrial Safety Review

Abstract: The need to increase the industrial safety of facilities is becoming ever more critical with each passing year, since in many branches of industry the process of wearing-out of equipment outpaces the rates of modernization and replacement of equipment. This relates especially to oil refining, petrochemical, and chemical equipment that function for prolonged periods of time. Thus, full-scale inspection of such equipment is necessary in order to determine potentially dangerous zones and adopt corresponding decis… Show more

“…In addition to this model, information from the database on the failure of petrochemical equipment (Berman & Khramova, 1993) as well as the results of industrial safety expertise (Berman, Nikolaichuk, Yu, & Kuznetsov, 2015) were used. As a result, a subject domain model was obtained, which was further considered as a CIM of a KB.…”

“…• Built-in editor of models • Integration with IBM Rational Rose (in terms of imports of UML-models) • Generation of CLIPS and DRL code and specifications for the interpreter • Usage of models at runtime The approach and software proposed were used for the development of the ES for defining the causes of damage and destruction of construction materials (Berman et al, 2015) and they were also used in the educational process at the Irkutsk National Research Technical University (IrNRTU).…”

“…To solve this problem, experiments will be conducted and heuristics will be formulated. Our approach has a certain level of universality and after its improvement can be used to form knowledge bases that codify scenarios for the development of events in various domains, for example, the sequence of work during the industrial safety inspection [29].…”
