Sustainable economic growth can be achieved through tourism by protecting the environment, maintaining natural resources, creating employment, improving cultural diversity, and recognizing cultural heritage values. The concept of tourism sustainability is gradually growing globally and becoming a dominant aspect in modern business, as companies need to meet stakeholders’ demands regarding environmental management. Sustainable tourism incorporates environmental, social, economic, and cultural issues into operations. The demand for green tourism, ethical consumption, protection of natural resources, and living close to nature is expected to increase. In particular, the latter gains more and more popularity due to the stress caused by the global pandemic and also because values have been re-evaluated at every level of society. In this paper, we explore sustainability in the tourism industry within the international context during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a specific focus on tourism in 35 European countries for the period between January 2020 and September 2021. We aimed to study the impact of tourism on sustainability based on the Eurostat database, using cluster analysis and descriptive statistics. The results indicate that tourism will recover slightly, even though the pandemic will continue, recording different effects in European countries. Furthermore, we highlight the relationship between income and tourism, the clusters on tourism being significantly different according to income. The results also identify potential recovery options to align this business area with global sustainable development goals, generate effective transformational change, and suggest how to create a viable growth process pushed by a glocal perspective.

Today tourism is under the influence of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Which is one of the most important economic activities in the country. Today, tourism has experienced a decline in the economic development of the country. Today, its development is experiencing difficulties in its functioning with a large decline in tourist demand and a greater increase in job losses for all those working in this sector in Kosovo. From this many businesses feel Insecure about the development of activity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The spread of the pandemic has permeated every corner of life, so tourism and hospitality have been damaged by this global economic crisis that has engulfed Kosovo. Based on the situation created, a large number of tourism enterprises have not to function properly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tourism and hospitality are among the most important activities for the economic development of Kosovo. the development of tourism activities represents a decrease in income if compared to the previous period before the pandemic. The decrease in tourists has led to the deterioration of the situation and economic development of Kosovo. According to the current situation, tourism businesses require support to overcome the crisis in which they are.

This research article analyzes and explains the reconstruction of the actor collaboration model in the development of marine tourism destinations at Super Priority Destinations (SPD) in Indonesia. Data, information, and knowledge about the descriptive model of actor collaboration in the development of marine tourism destinations in three DSPs characterized by marine tourism (Mandalika, Labuan Bajo, Likupang) were obtained using observation, interviews, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and documentation. The analysis technique follows the stages of an interactive model, namely: data collection, data condensation, data presentation, verification/concluding. The results show that there is a reconstruction of a descriptive model of actor collaboration in developing marine tourism destinations based on a knowledge creation model that includes four dimensions. Community-Based Tourism (CBT) characterizes the concept of developing tourist destinations through the socialization (S) of local community empowerment programs that emphasize externalization (E) or empowerment of certain communities to better understand the values and assets of marine tourism owned by SPD. The community called the tourism awareness group (Pokdarwis) collaborates and synergizes in combining (C) and internalizing (I) within themselves regarding the various attractiveness of marine tourism in SPD where they are part of the stakeholders in its sustainable development.
