Students learning experiences are affected by the spread of Covid-19 in cognitive, affective, and behavioral domains. This research investigates the university students' experience using the Microsoft Teams application in online learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The experience includes their perception, problems, and how they use Microsoft Teams daily. It is descriptive quantitative research under a case study. The participants were 97 university students consisting of 50 female and 47 male students spread over various universities. The data collection techniques were questionnaires and five open-ended questions. The questionnaires were analyzed using the Likert scale through SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), while five open-ended questions were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results showed that the students had a good experience using Microsoft Teams. They also have much improvement in English skills, especially in speaking skills. However, they needed help using Microsoft Teams, had unstable internet connections, and found it hard to improve their reading skills. Nonetheless, students hope that this application will continue to be used during online learning with some improvements so that learning using this application can take place more effectively and efficiently. This study implies that Microsoft Teams can support English skill development in an online learning environment.

Advanced technology has affected all aspects of life, including education. Technology in education has proven effective in several topics, including learning ESL/EFL. By reviewing previous research, the study aimed to explore the effects and challenges of using Microsoft Teams as an online learning tool on EFL learners at Unaizah, Saudi Arabia, from the students’ point of view. To improve their speaking skills more efficiently than in traditional classrooms, a questionnaire as a descriptive approach was used to collect data. The sample consisted of 351 female students. The results indicated that learners find using Microsoft Teams has advantages in improving English speaking skills. Thus it had a positive impact. Furthermore, the study found that learners face challenges in using Microsoft Teams. Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences at the level of the significance (α ≤ 0.05). The study recommends that educational institutions apply Microsoft Teams for its advantages.

Analysis of Academic Interpersonal Communication Factors in the Covid-19 Pandemic Period of Buddhist College Students

This study aims to determine the factors influencing interpersonal communication of Buddhist College students, in the online learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, and (2) know the indicators that affect the student's interpersonal communication factors. This study uses a mixed-method. Qualitative methods are used to describe the data descriptively, while quantitative methods are used in factor analysis. Respectively, the most influential factor on interpersonal communication is the motivation in communicating in the academic field, with a score of 0.81, followed by self-confidence with a score of 0.67, and lastly, openness, with a score of 0.67. Each factor is composed of four indicators as follows. For example, confidence is composed of belief, a sense of responsibility, objectivity, and rationality. The strongest indicator of the self-confidence factor is the belief in one's abilities. Meanwhile, achievement motivation factors are mostly composed of such indicators as a willingness to learn, adaptability, the desire to excel, and the existence of communication efforts. The indicator of the strongest motivational factors is achievement motivation. In addition, the openness factor is composed of indicators of equality, environmental interaction, mutual trust, and values. The strongest indicator of the openness factor is the value of interpersonal communication, especially in online learning processes.
