Synchronous Wireless Body Sensor Network Enabling Human Body Pose Estimation

Abstract: In this paper, a novel human body pose estimation system is introduced, which features a synchronous network of wirelessly connected sensor nodes, thus forming a wireless body sensor network (WBSN). This measurement architecture for establishing human body pose estimations works in combination with the HTC Vive base stations and a Wi-Fi router. The former emits infrared pulses and laser sweeps in the horizontal and vertical plane captured by the sensor nodes' photodiodes. The infrared data can be converted int… Show more

“…There are existing ADC standard test methods that can accurately test general-purpose ADCs, but in the field of high-resolution ADCs, this method has limitations such as high signal source accuracy and too many sampling points [8][9][10]. Therefore, research on fast and accurate test methods for high-resolution ADCs has become one of the focuses in the field of ADC testing.…”

“…More generally, activities such as routing or resource allocation, which critically depend on the state of communication links, can be supported by methods for pose estimation or motion recognition, that allow to infer the current pose of the human carrier and predict the link qualities accordingly. Activity detection and pose estimation in BSNs are for example, discussed in [230,231], whereas [232] uses regularities in motion patterns for data compression of motion information.…”

“…This part consists of input, processing, and also output parts. In this input section, it uses a position sensor in the form of an infrared sensor and also a photodiode sensor [16]. In the process section, arduino uno and also motor drivers are used in charge of processing voltage and also the control program created [17].…”
