Abstract:Acinetobacter baumannii is the leading cause of nosocomial infection. A surface protein commonly known as biofilm associate protein (Bap) has been identified in a bloodstream isolate of A. baumannii. Bap of A. baumannii is involved in intercellular adhesion within the mature biofilm.
