Synthesis and Characterization of CdO–SnO2 Nanocomposites Prepared by Hydrothermal Method

Abstract: In this work, (1-x)CdO-xSnO 2 nanocomposites (B 0.15) have been synthesized via hydrothermal route. The structural study reveals that CdO nanostructures possess crystalline phase and cubic structure. The CdO-SnO 2 nanocomposites possess both cubic and orthorhombic structure with good crystallinity. The crystallite size in the nanocomposites was found to be in the range of 9.6-19.6 nm. Field emission scanning electronic microscopy and highresolution tunnelling microscopy analysis confirm the presence of both cu… Show more

“…78,79 Whereas, the pure CdO showed an absorption peak at 430 cm −1 for CdO vibrational modes. 69,80 On the other hand, all AgI–CdO nanocomposite samples displayed a significant shift with the appearance of a sharp and broad signal at 3600 & 1443 cm −1 for O–H. In addition, a small peak at 430 cm −1 for CdO is shown as a sharp and strong peak in all composite materials.…”
