“…While the IR spectrum of the complex (L-Cu) revealed a wide, medium-intensity band at 3445 cm −1 which points to the existence of an (N─H) group, the azomethine band at 1572 cm −1 was shifted to a weaker and lower intensity. This distinctly shows the coordination of the ligand via the azomethine nitrogen toward the metal ion (Chandra and Sharma, 1983; Mohapatra and Dash, 2010; Rana et al , 1982).
