“…A large number of surface defects, instability during prolonged light irradiation (Jia et al, 2011), as well as low quantum yield (Rajeshwar et al, 2001) have been proposed as drawbacks, which limit the optical applications. To overcome the limitation of the semiconductors, synthetic effort has been devoted to control the structure and particle size using a variety of methods such as mixing of semiconductors (Ge et al, 2011;Viswanath et al, 2014) and doping foreign metal ion (Yang et al, 2012;Labiadh et al, 2013), surface capping as well as immobilization on effective media or supports including polymer, layered inorganic solids and so forth (Kotov et al, 1993;Dékány et al, 1995Dékány et al, , 1999aSzabó et al, 2003;Maity et al, 2006;Miao et al, 2006;Nascimento et al, 2012;Praus et al, 2013;Soltani et al, 2013;Sharma and Gosavi, 2014). Besides the preparation of single metal sulfide, metal sulfide mixtures have been studied because the combination of characteristic of each metal sulfide provided the modified properties due to newly created electronic structure and/or morphology (Hsu et al, 2005;Zheng et al, 2009;Raubach et al, 2012).…”
