“…This emission range for Eu and Dy was also observed by Marchal et al [3]. According to Sánchez-Benítez et al [16] and Ayvacikli et al [17], the peak at 465 cm À 1 (see Fig. 4) is due to the molecular vibrations of octahedral units of the compound (Al(Eu)-O 6 ).…”

“…The peaks at 150 and 600 cm À 1 may represent low and high vibration frequencies, respectively, related to the connection of Al-O tetrahedral units [17]. From the curve representing the formulation Ba 0.97 Eu 0.02 Dy 0.01 Al 1.7 B 0.3 O 4 , it is also possible to infer that these peaks are more intense because Eu concentration is two times higher in this formulation.…”

“…In this work, we firstly observe the intense red afterglow luminescence by co-doping Zr 4þ in SnO 2 :Sm 3þ . The Zr 4þ plays very important role on the occurrence of afterglow luminescence like the Dy 3þ in famous SrAl 2 O 4 :Eu 2þ ,Dy 3þ afterglow phosphor [8,9]. According to the results, we give a feasible interpretation for our observation and the important role of Zr 4þ on the afterglow luminescence of SnO 2 :Sm 3þ ,Zr 4þ is investigated in detail.…”

“…They are most often prepared by solid state reactions, with long reaction times and at high annealing temperatures up to 1600 °C. 2,[4][5][6][7][8] In addition, some wetchemical techniques have been used to prepare the precursor mixture. Among others, the alkoxy sol-gel route [9][10][11][12] and the aqueous sol-gel route were used, [13][14][15][16] with citric or nitric acid as the peptizing agent.…”

“…[6][7][8]17,18,[20][21][22][23][24][25][26] Recently, we studied alkaline earth aluminates with the overall nominal compositions Ca 0. 5 , Eu 3+ and Nd 3+ ions and heating at 80 °C for 4 hours. The xerogel was obtained by heating the sol in a Petri dish at 80 °C.…”
