Synthesis and properties of photocross‐linked polymers of epoxidized linseed oil with different reactive diluents

Abstract: Cross-linked polymers were obtained by photopolymerization of epoxidized linseed oil with different reactive diluents (3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3,4-epoxycyclohexane carboxylate, 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol diglycidyl ether, bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, trimethylolpropane triglycidyl ether, and bis[4-(glycidyloxy)phenyl]methane) using the mixture of triarylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonates as photoinitiator. The kinetic of photocross-linking reactions of compositions with different concentrations of reactive dil… Show more

“…The product shown in entry 4 represents an important type of compound used as a cross-linking reagent in the production of epoxy resins. 25 Similar to the hydrogenation of paraxylene, the product was also a mixture of cis and trans isomers, at a ratio of 87/13. We have previously reported ruthenium NPs supported by carbon nanofibers (CNFs), which was useful as a reusable catalyst for arene hydrogenation.…”

“…The epoxidation of camelina oil and linseed oil (both from LLC Vetagra, Lithuania) was performed according to the procedure described earlier . The number of epoxy groups per triglyceride calculated from the data of 1 H‐NMR spectra was 5.5 for epoxidized camelina oil and 6 for epoxidized linseed oil.…”
