“…This was within the range reported for the similar group of Schiff base ligands. 23,24 Also IR spectrum showed Ar-H stretching band in the region 2995 cm The chemical shifts between 113.06 -134.24 ppm were consistent with those of the aromatic carbons in Schiff base ligands. 23,24 These spectroscopic data's consistent with structure 2 as (E)-N'-(5-bromo-2-methoxybenzylidene)-4-methoxy benzohydrazide, which to the best of our knowledge is a new ingredient from natural resources.…”

“…The resulting complexes have been obtained as coloured solid which are soluble in methanol, dimethylformamide, and dimethylsulfoxide. The chelates were dissolved in DMF, and molar conductance of 10 [17,18] indicating that condensation between ketone moiety of isatin and that of amino group of amino acid has taken place resulting into the formation of the desired ligands (L 1 H)-(L 4 H). Moreover, on comparison of the IR spectra of the ligands with their Bu 2 Sn(IV) and Pb(II) complexes showed a major shift to lower wave numbers by 10-15 cm −1 in azomethine ν(C=N) at 1610 ± 5 cm −1 suggesting the involvement of the azomethine nitrogen with the Sn(IV) and Pb(II) ion [19][20][21].…”

“…The selected bond distances and angles for complex (3) are given in Table 5. The X-ray crystal structure of complex (3) revealed that there are two molecules in one unit cell, which is different compared to the diorganotin(IV) complexes derived from the pyruvic acid isonicotinoyl hydrazone [11,12]. The tin(IV) atom has six coordination geometry in a distorted octahedral arrangement in which one water molecule, one pyruvic acid isonicotinoyl hydrazone ligand and two butyl groups are coordinated to Sn(IV) center.…”
