Synthesis, Characterization and Adsorption Studies of a Graphene Oxide/Polyacrylic Acid Nanocomposite Hydrogel

Abstract: The AAc/GO nanocomposite hydrogel was successfully employed as a polymeric Nano sorbent of the removal efficiency of M G dye from the model. The complication of the mechanism of the adsorption system was completely exposed by examining how solution pH affects adsorption, Ionic strength isotherm models, kinetic models, and thermodynamics. The adsorption of the MG dye was greatly dependent on the solution pH. The Freundlich model has been demonstrated to be the most accurate in describing the MG dye sorption, wh… Show more

“…11,12 XRD XRD spectra were used to study the structural properties represented by the structure and crystal size of the (SA-g-PAAc) hydrogel in its solid state using a single light of wavelength 1.5104 A⁰ from Cu-Kα source within the angular range 2θ is (0-80) degrees, as The (XRD) spectra appear in Figure 3 appeared the presence of a wide band within the angular range 2θ (15-30)⁰, which indicates the nature amorphous of the crosslinked chemical structure of the SA-g-pAAc , as it is observed in the XRD spectrum of the SA-g-PAAc a wide band at 2θ = 21.50⁰ within the calculated d = 4.21A⁰. 13,14 Energy Disperse X-raq (EDX) For the success of the adsorption process, it is necessary to know the ratios of both carbon and oxygen before and after adsorption of the cross-linked SA-g-PAAc hydrogel , that the proportion of carbon in the hydrogel increased after adsorption, while the proportion of oxygen decreased, and the results also showed the proportions of chlorine and iodine, which indicates the adsorption of dye, 15 as shown in the Figure 4.…”

“…Molybdenum can exist in four oxidation states (Mo 0 , Mo +2 , Mo +4 , Mo +6 ) and forms various stable oxides [44] . Among these compounds, barium molybdate is synthesized by various methods such as solid-state, co-precipitated, and hydrothermal [45] , [46] , [47] . BaMoO 4 structure is very sensitive and depends on the synthesis conditions.…”
