Synthesis, growth, and characterisation of a novel organic–inorganic perovskite-type hybrid system based on glycine

Abstract: A new organic-inorganic hybrid with the empirical formula [NH3-CH2-COOH]CdCl3.H2O has been crystallised, and the structure was solved at room temperature (system (orthorhombic), space group (Pcam), unit parameters cell (a = 7.433( 10) Å, b = 7.743(2) Å, c = 25.346(6) Å), volume 1458.76 (5) Å 3 ), Z = 8).
