“…Straight lines that pass through the origin may be due to the difference in mass transfer rate in the initial stage of adsorption. Furthermore, the intercept provides information on the thickness of the boundary layer, the larger the intercept, the greater the effect of the boundary layer [127,[136][137][138].…”

“…In similar report, simultaneous graft copolymerization of acrylamide (AAm) on the Jhingan gum (JG) using CAN initiator in aqueous medium along with crosslinking by borax lead to the fabrication of JG-g-PAAm/B hydrogels which used for removal of Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) dye from water. [54] The hydrogel could regenerate by washing in aqueous medium under ultrasonic irradiation following by immersing in 0.1 NaOH alkaline medium. In the first cycle the dye removal efficiency was around 92 % which reduced to around 70 % after five cycles used-regeneration.…”

“…Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR) also known as Reactive Blue 19 is an anthraquinone dye (Trivedi et al 2009). Remazol Brilliant Blue R used in the textile industry and as the starting agent for the manufacture of polymeric materials is highly toxic, carcinogenic, and hazardous to aquatic organisms (Mate and Mishra 2020) The chemical structure of the reactive dyes leads to low biodegradability and recalcitrant characteristics. Therefore, it is crucial to treat reactive dyes containing effluents before discharge to surrounding environments (Yagub et al 2014).…”
