“…Theoretical prediction , and successful experimental preparation of Heusler alloys in nanocrystalline forms have extended the application of these prototype ternary ferromagnetic alloys to nanometric devices. Researchers have already demonstrated the application of these nanoparticles in hyperthermia treatment of cancer cells, SARS Cov-2 detection, catalysis, biosensing, spintronics, etc. The advantages of Heusler alloy nanoparticles are mostly due to their novel properties such as high saturation magnetization ( M s ), high effective anisotropy constant ( K eff ), high Curie temperature ( T c ), tunability of magnetic properties, soft magnetic behavior, etc.…”

“…For example, Wang et al showed the applicability of HA nanoparticles in spintronics, 9 and Kappe et al utilized these HA nanoparticles in biosensing. 10 HA nanoparticles have also been employed in catalysis, 11 SARS CoV-2 detection, 12 hyperthermia treatment of cancer, 13 etc. Apart from the mechanical alloying route, HA nanoparticles have also been synthesized by co-precipitation, 14 and chemical 15 routes.…”

“…Characteristics of samples 1-3). Particle size of sample 1) is the average value estimated by scanning TEM in a previous report, [16] while those of samples 2) and 3) are the product of crystallite size and 23/15 (size ratio of particle and crystallite in sample 1). Surface area was calculated from particle size and density on the assumption of spherical shape.…”
