Synthesis of nanostructured manganese oxides based materials and application for supercapacitor

Abstract: Manganese oxides are important materials with a variety of applications in different fields such as chemical sensing devices, magnetic devices, field-emission devices, catalysis, ion-sieves, rechargeable batteries, hydrogen storage media and microelectronics. To open up new applications of manganese oxides, novel morphologies or nanostructures are required to be developed. Via sol-gel and anodic electrodeposition methods, M (Co, Fe) doped manganese oxides were prepared. On the other hand, nanostructured (nanop… Show more

“…In conductive inks intended for inkjet printing, the major requirement which needs to be fulfilled is to have nanoparticles small in size to avoid clogging of printer nozzles. [40] This implies that the nanometal preparation procedure has to be strictly controlled. After redispersion of AgNPs in an appropriate carrier, size distribution of the particles was investigated by dynamic light scattering method (Figure 8).…”

“…Generally, research has been carried out on the various transition metal oxide materials like cobalt oxide [23], iridium oxide [24], nickel oxide (NiO) [25], manganese oxide [26], iron Oxide [15], ruthenium oxide [13], and zinc oxide [27]. Currently, research on nickel oxide with other composite electrode materials just like a NiO//graphene oxide, Carbon nanotubes (CNT)//NiO, Ru doped nickel oxide, Cu doped nickel oxide, Cerium doped nickel oxide, and so on [28].…”

“…Nanostructure and porous surface of both materials can provide large surface area for electrode-electrolyte interaction and that supports electrolyte for easy ionic intercalation in the entire electrode-electrolyte matrix [13]. Micro-and nanostructured manganese oxides are attracting attention due to their wide applications in the fields of energy storage [14]. MnO 2 material is highly useful to improve the surface morphological results of cobalt oxide materials as a composite.…”
