“…18,41 In addition, for S 10 , O H stretching (3000-3250 cm −1 ), O H bending (1636 cm −1 ), and C H bending (1415 cm −1 ) peaks were less intense as compared to S 9 . Since these three peaks are characteristic peaks of PVA solution, 42 it could be concluded that the hydrophilic PVA content is less in the case of S 10 . This leads to the increased WCA value and noticeable superhydrophobicity.…”

“…The broadening of Si O Si asymmetric vibration peak is more in immediately electrospun sample, that is, the Si O C bond formation is prominent in the case of immediately electrospun sample. The sample that was electrospun after 24 h aging shows broad peak between 3000 and 3500 cm −1 indicating the O H stretching, a peak at 2941 cm −1 indicates the C H stretching and peaks at 1415 and 1636 cm −1 are indicating C H bending and O H bending, respectively, 15,42 which are the characteristic peaks of hydrophilic PVA. Therefore, in this case, superhydrophobicity decreases with increase in aging duration.…”

“…9 To overcome these limitations, there has been growing research on shaping the zeolite particles into brous form. [10][11][12] The bers provide an effective way to take advantage of the nanoscale, plus providing weight and volume to the catalyst for easier recovery. For example, Pham-Huu et al 13 reported superior performance of beta zeolite nanobers compared to commercial beta zeolite particles for benzoylation of anisole.…”

“…6 Among these, electrospinning is reported to be a versatile, exible, scalable yet economical method for ber production. 12,17,18 The method contains a syringe which is lled with an electrospinning solution. The solution may be a combination of zeolite and a polymer.…”

“…3,4 These new nanocomposites with significantly improved performance were synthesized by many novel processes for the introduction of guest nanomaterials to the pore channels of MS spheres, such as ion exchange, 5 encapsulation, 6 sol-gel process, 7 self-assembly 8 and so on. 9,10 Encapsulation techniques have aroused widespread interest, largely due to their relevance to medicine, pharmaceutics, agriculture and the cosmetic industries. 11,12 MS spheres were employed as carriers for the encapsulation of various materials, including drugs, 13 dyes, 14 biomolecules 15 and enzymes.…”
