Synthesis of ustalic acid, an inhibitor of Na+,K+-ATPase

Abstract: Ustalic acid, an inhibitor of Na + ,K +-ATPase isolated from a poisonous mushroom, was synthesized in 8 steps using the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling and oxidation of methylene acetal as key steps.
