Synthesis, thermal properties and crystalline morphology of poly(trimethylene terephthalate)/ZnO nanocomposites prepared by dual in situ
polymerization
Abstract:Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)/ZnO nanocomposites were successfully prepared by dual in situ polymerization. Firstly, ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by a simple polyol method using 1,3-propanediol (PDO) as solvent and stabilizer. Then, PTT/ZnO nanocomposites were prepared by in situ polymerization. The results of Fourier transform infrared spectra showed that PTT molecular chains were grafted to the surface of ZnO nanoparticles. The results of 1 H NMR spectra confirmed that propyl ester molecules (as rea… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
