Tannin–Mn coordination polymer coated carbon quantum dots nanocomposite for fluorescence and magnetic resonance bimodal imaging

Abstract: The MR/FI bimodal imaging has attracted widely studied due to combining the advantages of MRI and FI can bridge gaps in sensitivity and depth between these two modalities. Herein, a novel MR/FI bimodal imaging probe is facile fabricated by coating the Mn-phenolic coordination polymer on the surface of the carbon quantum dots. The structure of the as-prepared nanocomposite probe is carefully validated via SEM, TEM, and XPS. The content of Mn2+ is calculated through the EDS and TGA. The quantum yield (QY) and em… Show more

“…In conclusion, as a therapeutic platform with good biocompatibility and photothermal properties, CDs and metal nanoparticle hybrid materials can be widely used in drug delivery, photothermal/photodynamic therapy, and biological antibacterial treatment elds. [94][95][96] Metal oxide/CDs Metal oxide nanoparticles have attracted much attention due to their stability, relatively low production cost, and functional properties in various elds. 22 Based on the excellent application performance of metal oxide nanoparticles, many researchers compound them with CDs, which have rich surface defects, a wide wavelength range of light absorption, visible solid light absorption, up-conversion luminescence, and other characteristics, to construct a series of CDs and oxide hybrid materials.…”

“…96 A nanocomposite was constructed from a tannin− manganese (Mn) coordination polymer and carbon quantum dots for fluorescence and MRI bimodal imaging. 97 The longitudinal r 1 value was ∼2.43 mM −1 s −1 , and there were excellent bright-orange fluorescence features with a quantum yield of ∼7.24%. These probes could simply enter the body of mice and slowly attenuated with time, offering promising dualmodal imaging probes for MRI and fluorescence imaging with high efficiency.…”
