Targeting zonulin and intestinal epithelial barrier function to prevent onset of arthritis

Abstract: Gut microbial dysbiosis is associated with the development of autoimmune disease, but the mechanisms by which microbial dysbiosis affects the transition from asymptomatic autoimmunity to inflammatory disease are incompletely characterized.
