Currently, during the pandemic, the forced transition to distance learning carries a number of problems. These problems affect various aspects of education, including the study of students’ attitudes to distance learning. The purpose of this research is to study the features of the subjective attitude of schoolchildren and students to distance learning. This research involved 140 secondary school students (average age M = 10.7, SD = 7.2 (66.3% men)) and 30 university students (average age M = 22.5, SD = 2.4 (20% men)). The methods used were a questionnaire, Chi-square test and Criterion φ*. Fisher angular transformation. The study showed that schoolchildren do not intend to continue studying in the distance form if they choose, with a generally positive attitude towards distance learning. The self-assessment of motivation to study in a distance format has not changed, both among schoolchildren and students. Students are more likely to have a positive attitude to distance learning than schoolchildren. The variety of choices of advantages and disadvantages of distance learning is greater among students than among schoolchildren. The perspective of this study is thus to study the factors that determine the positive and negative attitudes to distance learning.

Quarantines and virtual learning became necessary as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study investigates the challenges and opportunities in virtual classes; and how they affect the academic goals. There were 150 secondary students from Junior and Senior High School levels of education in the Philippines, who were deliberately selected; and they participated in the quantitative online survey that used a 62-item self-made 4-point Likert scale questionnaire, with 0.81 reliability coefficients. The data were evaluated by means of the percentage, the mean, and the standard deviation. Sex and secondary education levels were used, in order to compare the students’ challenges and opportunities. One-way ANOVA compared the male and female respondents’ perceived challenges and opportunities. The results revealed that junior high-school (JHS) girls highlighted academic satisfaction; while school-life balance, and virtual learning helped as challenges and opportunities. The females found school-life balance, communication (F(1,149)=11.098; F(1,149)=8.430, p<0.01), academic fulfilment, self-directedness, and time-management (F(1,149)=4.224; F(1,149)=4.470; F(1,149)=4.030, p<0.05) more difficult than did the males. Senior high school (SHS) students were less satisfied with the virtual teaching (F(1,149)=14.391, p<0.001), technology use (F(1,149)=7.342, p<0.01), and communication (F(1,149)=3.934, p<0.05) than JHS students. Males were more satisfied with school and teachers’ assistance (F(1,149)=7.482, p<0.01). Some viewed virtual learning more favourably; and they regard themselves as being adaptive; they think the subject matter and learning tasks are interrelated; and they viewed virtual feedback more positively (F(1,149)=6.438; F(1,149)=5.900; F(1,149)=5.183; F(1,149)=4.470, p<0.05). The JHS students reported subject matter and the virtual learning tasks as being interrelated; and they valued virtual feedback, school and teacher support, and the adaptability to change. Challenges and opportunities may serve as the foundation for establishing a more inclusive policy on virtual learning implementation, with school and stakeholders’ cooperation needed to sustain learners’ holistic development.

Введение. В последние годы внимание ученых и практиков всё чаще обращено к проблемам организации дистанционного обучения. Актуальность исследования заключается в том, что дистанционное обучение, появившееся как дополнение традиционной системы обучения, после 2020 г. стало необходимой и иногда единственной формой продолжения образования для студентов и школьников. В статье представлены результаты эмпирического исследования педагогов и родителей на онлайн-платформе по изучению отношения и оценок их к различным аспектам дистанционного обучения, показаны схожесть и различия оценок учителей и родителей к онлайн-технологиям в обучении школьников. Методы. В исследовании в онлайн-платформе приняли участие 2758 респондентов, в том числе: педагоги – 571 человек, учащиеся – 703 человека и родители – 1484 человек. Для каждой группы респондентов были составлены отдельные анкеты, состоящие из закрытых, полузакрытых и открытых вопросов. Вопросы анкеты были направлены на выявление отношения респондентов к дистанционному обучению, оценке ими трудностей и проблем организации взаимодействия учащихся, педагогов и родителей в условиях онлайн-обучения, а также о желании и возможности продолжения обучения в данном формате. Результаты. Учителя, как и родители, в качестве основных недостатков дистанционного обучения указывают на проблемы коммуникации Отрицательное отношение родителей к дистанционному формату обучения нашло отражение в их оценке влияния этой технологии на эмоциональные и поведенческие проявления детей. Оценивая изменения в учебной деятельности учащихся в условиях дистанционного обучения, большинство учителей (81 %) считают, что оно негативно отразилось на мотивации обучения школьников. Всё же, в отличие от родителей, педагоги дали положительную оценку некоторым аспектам дистанционного обучения. Более 16 % учителей считают, что использование онлайн-обучения позволяет реализовать дифференцированный подход к учащимся и обучать их в индивидуальном темпе, а около четверти респондентов (23 %) видит в дистанте хорошую возможность повысить уровень самостоятельности учеников. Обсуждение результатов. Научная новизна исследования определяется комплексным подходом к анализу психолого-педагогических проблем дистанционного обучения в представлениях учителей и родителей. В отношении предложений по улучшению взаимодействия участников дистанционного обучения мнения педагогов и родителей оказались схожими. Более чем две трети родителей и большинство учителей предложили усовершенствовать информационные и компьютерные технологии, а также обеспечить ребенка качественной компьютерной техникой и бесперебойным Интернетом. Заключение. Отсутствие межличностного взаимодействия у учащихся и педагогов является очевидной проблемой, которая так или иначе сопровождает онлайн-обучение. Этот психологический фактор негативно влияет как на мотивацию, так и на успешность обучения. В этих условиях становятся крайне актуальными дальнейшее исследование проблемы взаимодействия участников образовательного процесса и разработка оптимальных способов организации их совместной учебной деятельности.
